Ivan Tandara
TANDARA-SURNAME – A digital archive dedicated to the Tandara surname, genealogy, family tree, historical records, surname origins, and the migrations of the Tandara family in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ivan Tandara, born c. 1695
Ivan’s page is now the central overview of the four main family branches continued through his sons Jure, Petar, Ante and Mate. The opening box contains Ivan Tandara alone, and from him all four filial lines branch out.
The combined diagram retains all existing information, codes and descendants from the four completed diagrams. Each of the four branches is connected to Ivan as the common starting point, and the sons’ family branches also include their wives. Clicking a person opens the description and the next generations, while the buttons above the diagram can isolate a single branch.
The separate pages for all four branches remain available in the left-hand menu.
Instructions for using the diagram
- Enter the known information about a person in the search field and select Search.
- Selecting a person’s name box opens the available information about that person and their family.
- The + and − symbols on a person’s box open or close descendants one generation at a time.
- The Expand all, Collapse and First 3 generations buttons determine how many generations are displayed.
- The Jure, Petar, Ante and Mate buttons isolate the selected main family branch.
- The Fit button adjusts the complete diagram to the available area, while the + and − buttons zoom in or out.
- The Full screen button displays the diagram across the entire screen, while the printer icon prepares it for printing.
- Because many people share the same first name, enter the person’s name, father’s name and mother’s name for a precise match. You may also add the surname Tandara, but a first name and surname alone are often insufficient. Lowercase letters may be used; the search is not case-sensitive and accepts common spelling variants: č/ć/c, ije/je, l/lj, š/s, đ/d and ž/z.
Combined family-tree diagram of Ivan Tandara
