How can you help?

The Digital Archive grows with the help of everyone who preserves a part of family history. Especially valuable are:

  • information about ancestors, descendants and family connections,
  • information about belonging to Jure’s, Petar’s, Ante’s or Mate’s branch,
  • old family photographs, letters, documents and registry records,
  • information about emigration, places of residence and family migrations,
  • family stories, memories, nicknames, occupations and customs,
  • corrections or additions to already published information.

What to include in your message

To make the message easier to process and correctly connect with the archive, it is useful to include:

  • your name and surname,
  • the city and country from which you are writing,
  • an e-mail address for reply,
  • how you are connected with the Tandara surname,
  • which family branch you belong to, if known,
  • the type and reason for your inquiry,
  • if you are requesting private access, the name of a person who can confirm your identity or family relationship,
  • whether you want your message to be published in the Visitors’ Messages section.

Photographs and documents can be sent as e-mail attachments. If you are not sure what is important, send even what may seem like a small detail — in genealogy, such traces often open important connections.

Permission for publication

Messages, photographs and documents will not be publicly published without the sender’s permission. If you want your message to be published in the Visitors’ Messages section, you can clearly write:

"I give permission for my message to be published in the Digital Archive of the Tandara Family."

If you are sending the message only for research purposes and do not want public publication, it is enough to write:

"The message is for research purposes only and is not for public publication."

Publicly displayed information is limited to persons born in 1930 or earlier and persons born after 1930 whose death has been recorded or confirmed. Information about persons born after 1930 without a recorded or confirmed death is protected and is not available without prior verification and valid approval. Submitting the form, confirming an e-mail address or stating a family relationship does not by itself grant access.
