How You Can Help

The Digital Archive grows with the help of everyone who preserves part of the family's history. Particularly valuable contributions include:

  • information about ancestors, descendants and family relationships,
  • information about belonging to the Jure, Petar, Ante or Mate branch,
  • old family photographs, letters, documents and civil or parish records,
  • information about emigration, places of residence and family migration,
  • family stories, memories, nicknames, occupations and customs,
  • corrections or additions to information already published.

What to Include in Your Message

To make it easier to process your message and connect it correctly with the archive, it is helpful to provide:

  • your full name,
  • your city / place and country,
  • an e-mail address for a reply,
  • how you are connected with the Tandara surname,
  • your family branch, if known,
  • the type and reason for your request,
  • whether you want your message to be published in Visitor Messages.

If you are unsure what may be important, send even information that appears minor — in genealogy, such small clues can often reveal important connections.

What Happens After Your Message

Each message is first reviewed and classified according to the type of request. If it contains new genealogical information, it is compared with existing records and, where necessary, the sender may be asked to provide additional explanation or a source.

Messages intended for Visitor Messages are published only with the permission of their author, while new genealogical information is included in the archive only after verification.
